The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

iloubnan - Hariri gives instructions to help Syrian refugees - May 15, 2011

Caretaker Prime Minister Saad Hariri contacted on Saturday the concerned authorities, to coordinate efforts aiming to assist the refugees from Syria, his press office announced in a communiqué.

"He gave special instructions in this regard to the Higher Relief Committee to take the necessary measures and coordinate with the International Committee of the Red Cross and other parties if necessary, in order to help these refugees, especially as there were reports about the arrival of a number of wounded people to Akkar," the communiqué stated.
