March 22, 2010 - Now Lebanon - Al-Hayat: STL investigators request dozens of Lebanese fingerprints

An anonymous source told Al-Hayat newspaper in an interview published on Monday that the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL)’s investigators requested the fingerprints of dozens of Lebanese.

The investigators repeatedly summon the same witnesses to ensure the consistency of their statements, said the source.

The investigative team will re-examine the crime scenes of the 2005 assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri and of the attempted murder of Democratic Gathering bloc MP Marwan Hamadeh in 2004 using new advanced technology, including three-dimensional photography.

The source denied reports that witnesses affiliated with a certain party were called to testify.
