July 22, 2010 - Now Lebanon - Nasrallah meeting officials to avoid conflict

As-Sharq al-Awsat newspaper quoted on Thursday an unnamed source as saying that Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah’s recent meetings were held to avoid any internal conflicts.

This comes after Nasrallah met with Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblatt on Wednesday. Political tension in Lebanon has increased after the Hezbollah chief called the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) an Israeli project.

Media outlets have reported that the tribunal might indict Hezbollah members for the 2005 assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.
