July 23, 2010 - Now Lebanon - Zahra says LF will not accept an unjust ruling by STL

Lebanese Forces MP Antoine Zahra told LBCI television on Friday that his party would not accept an unjust ruling against any Lebanese faction, in reference to the latest media reports that the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) would indict Hezbollah members in the 2005 assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.

Zahra said that Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah’s Thursday speech shows that he will not accept the STL’s verdict.

He responded to Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblatt’s Thursday accusation against LF leader Samir Geagea – that he is responsible for escalating tension in the country after saying bombings will take place again –saying that Jumblatt was the first to warn against the return of the bombing incidents, not Geagea.
