Now Lebanon - Hariri did not state Syria’s innocence, says Maalouf - September 8, 2010

Lebanese Forces (LF) bloc MP Joseph Maalouf told Akhbar Al-Yawm news agency on Wednesday that Prime Minister Saad Hariri’s Monday statement to As-Sharq al-Awsat newspaper did not say that Syria was innocent in the 2005 assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.

The PM told the paper that accusations of Syria’s involvement in the Rafik Hariri murder were political in nature.

“PM [Saad] Hariri spoke about politically accusing Damascus [only],” Maalouf added.
