The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Now Lebanon - Judge says Bourj Abi Haidar suspects detained until further notice - September 13, 2010

Following his interrogation with 10 people detained on suspicion of being involved in the Bourj Abi Haidar clashes, Military Investigative Judge Fadi Sawwan issued a statement that the suspects are to be detained until further notice, the National News Agency (NNA) reported on Monday.

Three people died in the August 24 fighting in the Bourj Abi Haidar area of Beirut between supporters of Hezbollah and those of the Sunni group Al-Ahbash.

The NNA also reported that Sawwan will interrogate another 13 suspects on Tuesday.
