Now Lebanon - Kabbara condemns “division of roles” to pressure Hariri over STL - September 6, 2010

There is an obvious “distribution of roles to apply political pressure to extort and impose certain conditions on Prime Minister Saad Hariri regarding the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL),” Lebanon First bloc MP Mohammad Kabbara said in a statement issued on Monday.

Hariri will have no choice but to “form armed or unarmed forces to execute the decisions of the [STL] on Lebanese territory,” Tawhid Movement leader Wiam Wahhab said in the Monday issue of the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Anbaa.

Wahhab has previously said that the STL is an Israeli plot, a “tribunal of international hypocrisy,” and that its Prosecutor, General Daniel Bellemare, is a “liar and a crook.” He has called on March 8 ministers to resign if the cabinet does not withdraw funding from the STL.

Kabbara called on “those behind the scenes manipulating puppets speaking in their name” to stop this “malicious maneuvering and mute these ridiculous mouthpieces.”
