The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Naharnet - Lebanese Dentist Arrested on Suspicion of Spying for Israel - February 25, 2011

The Internal Security Forces have arrested a dentist in the Marjayoun town of Mais al-Jabal on suspicion of collaborating with Israel.
Media reports said 55-year-old Farouq Shouqeir was taken into custody on Thursday after the ISF received tips about his alleged collaboration.

The ISF said in a statement that the alleged spy admitted to investigators that he had collaborated with the Israelis since 2004.Last week, a military court sentenced Amin Ibrahim al-Baba to death on charges of spying for Israel's Mossad and providing the agency with information on Hizbullah.
The verdict brings to six the number of men sentenced to death on spying charges since 2009, including one found guilty of aiding Israel during its devastating 2006 war with Hizbullah.
