The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Now Lebanon - Hariri salutes Lebanese women - March 08, 2011

“We cannot but remember the role the Lebanese woman has played in [the March 14] movement,” said Outgoing Prime Minister Saad Hariri on Monday.
“The unity government succeeded in enhancing the role of the Lebanese woman and modernizing some laws,” Hariri said in a statement released by his office on the occasion of International Women’s Day on March 8.
Hariri saluted Arab women everywhere, particularly Lebanese.
