Prime Minister Najib Mikati stressed that Lebanon triumphed by taking the decision to finance the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL), where it managed to address this deadline with a sense of responsibility in service of justice. Premier Mikati was speaking during his inauguration of 55 round of International Arab Beirut Book Fair at Biel Center, organized by Arab Cultural Club in cooperation with Lebanese Publishers' Union. Among the attendees were Future Bloc Head Fouad Siniora, representing former Prime Minister Saad Hariri, Public Works and Transportation Minister Ghazi Aridi, Information Minister Walid Daouk and Culture Minister Gaby Layyoun, in addition to diplomatic, cultural, media, military and political dignitaries. Mikati noted in his address that the real accomplishment will be realized once the international society meets its obligations towards Lebanon and once we preserve our nation's interests and boost our civil march. He  stressed that folding the chapter of Tribunal funding constitutes an episode of government work loaded with deadlines, pledging that a jam-packed government workshop shall be soon re-launched, in accordance with the priorities set by the ministerial council.
