Germany announced on Sunday
that it donated a further €2.5 million ($3.3 million) for the relief efforts to
aid Syrian refugees, according to the Kuwaiti News Agency (KUNA).
The report added that the
latest donation increased the total donated by Germany to fund humanitarian
assistance for Syrian refugees to €5.7 million ($7.6 million).
Thousands of Syrians have
fled the unrest in their country, which according to the UN has left over 9,000
people dead since protests erupted in strife-stricken Syria in mid-March 2011.
