The Daily Star - Abu Faour hopes for calm in Palestinian camps, May 30 2012

BEIRUT: Social Affairs Minister Wael Abu Faour hoped Tuesday that Palestinian camps in Lebanon in the country would remain calm, adding that this would help further their humanitarian rights.

“I hope that ... Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon will be a source of calm, so that the Palestinian will not be turned into a scapegoat,” Abu Faour said during a seminar on the Palestinians’ right of return held under his patronage at Galleria Hotel. The minister voiced hopes that rival Palestinian factions would continue the process of dialogue. “By this, they [Palestinians] protect themselves from racism which might emerge, but at the same time provide further justification for any act [to advance their humanitarian rights],” he said.
