The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Now Lebanon - Nasri Khoury: Abducted Lebanese man to be handed over Tuesday, June 12 2012


Lebanese-Syrian Higher Council Secretary General Nasri Khoury said Monday evening that “relevant Syrian authorities” informed him that Lebanese national Sleiman Ahmad will be released Tuesday.
Khoury told the National News Agency that the Lebanese army will receive Ahmad on Tuesday afternoon.
The NNA reported on Sunday that Ahmad, who hails from Wadi Khaled, was kidnapped by unknown assailants. Following a meeting held in Akkar, the participants, which included local officials and lawmakers, said Ahmad “was handed over to the Syrian [authorities].”
