The Daily Star - Families of Lebanese held in Syrian jails protest in Beirut, August 2 2012

BEIRUT: Around 25 people gathered at the Gibran Khalil Gibran Garden in Downtown Beirut Thursday and urged the government to work on revealing the fate of tens of Lebanese in Syrian prisons.
The people, mostly relatives of Lebanese in Syrian jails, urged the government to act immediately given what they described as the tragic circumstances unfolding in the neighboring country, particularly the deteriorating security situation there.
It is not known exactly how many Lebanese nationals are in Syrian prisons, but NGO estimates put the number at around 130.
