July 18, 2010 - Now Lebanon - Wahhab: Work with the STL and expect a beating

Tawhid Movement leader Wiam Wahhab told OTV on Sunday that any official state institution that works with the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) will get a beating. Wahhab has repeatedly called on the cabinet to stop dealing with the tribunal.

The STL is probing the 2005 assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri. Media reports say the tribunal’s indictment will likely be issued before the end of 2010. There are also reports that some Hezbollah members might be named in the indictment.

Wahhab also said that an Israeli war in the Middle East is unlikely to happen anytime soon.
