The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

July 20, 2010 - Now Lebanon - Sayyed Hussein: Tension over STL is based on assumptions

Minister of State Adnan as-Sayyed Hussein told Future News on Tuesday that current tension between political parties is based on assumptions, referring to the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL)’s indictment which is to be issued before the end of the year.

Hezbollah called the court, which is probing the 2005 assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, an “Israeli project” designed to target the party by stirring up sectarian strife in Lebanon. The statement was harshly criticized by March 14 MPs.
