The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Daily Star - Three People Face Charges Over Tripoli Bomb Scare

BEIRUT: Three people have been charged with placing an explosive device in a residential neighborhood of Tripoli. The government commissioner at the Military Tribunal, Judge Saqr Saqr, filed charges against the individuals from Jabal Mohsen in Tripoli, who allegedly planted the device near a person’s home with the aim of instilling fear among local residents and conducting terrorist acts. They were referred to the first military investigating magistrate and could face hard labor if convicted. – The Daily Star
