The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

July 23, 2010 - Now Lebanon - STL did not request LAF to form unit, Ad-Diyar reports

Ad-Diyar newspaper quoted an unnamed military source on Friday as saying that the Lebanese army did not receive a request from Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) General Prosecutor Daniel Bellemare to form a unit in order to implement warrants issued by the tribunal against specific individuals.

According to Ad-Diyar’s source, contrary reports on the issue published by certain media outlets are inaccurate.
