The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Now Lebanon - Saqr charges 84 over Beirut clashes, September 6, 2010

Government Commissioner to the Military Court Judge Saqr Saqr charged 84 people, including 22 detainees, for involvement in the Bourj Abi Haidar clashes, the National News Agency (NNA) reported on Monday.

Three people died in the fighting in the Bourj Abi Haidar area of Beirut between supporters of Hezbollah and those of the Sunni group Al-Ahbash.

The NNA added that Saqr transferred the cases to Military Investigative Judge Riad Abu Ghida.
