Syrian newspaper Al-Watan reported on Thursday that Lebanese security forces arrested six Syrians, who allegedly illegally crossed into Lebanon after participating in criminal activities in some Syrian cities.
The source also said that Lebanese security forces were ordered to be strict so as to prevent the use of Lebanese territory to harm Syria’s security and stability.
Protests have railed against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's regime for almost two months.
Between 600 and 700 people have been killed and at least 8,000 arrested since the start of the protest movements in mid-March, human rights groups say. Hundreds of Syrians have fled to Lebanon.
