The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

The Daily Star - Man assaults family and stabs brother - July 07, 2011

BEIRUT: A man attacked his brother after spraying a narcotic substance in his home that rendered his stepmother and her disabled son unconscious, a security source said Wednesday.
The source told The Daily Star that Ahmad Mahmoud Ramadan entered his father’s house in the Beirut neighborhood of Jnah overnight, spraying a narcotic substance which caused his stepmother and her disabled son to lose consciousness.
Ahmad then turned to his brother, Mohammad, allegedly stabbing him in the left leg before fleeing. The motive behind the attack was not known, the source added.
