Daily Star - Police arrest most wanted, 'dangerous' criminals, April 09, 2012

BEIRUT: Judicial police have arrested two of the most dangerous wanted criminals in Lebanon, one of whom has 170 outstanding arrest warrants in his name, according to a statement by the Internal Security Forces.

The arrest took place on the morning of April 8 after surveillance by the police in Brital, Baalbek.

The first man, aged 27, is wanted for various crimes including theft, robbery at gunpoint, forgery, and drug dealing. The other man, who is 30 years old, is suspected of drug-related crimes and an attempt to kill two soldiers, and has four arrest warrants in his name.

Upon arresting the two men, police confiscated a Kalashnikov and ammunition as well as an unspecified amount of cocaine.
