The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

The Daily Star - Relatives report kidnapping of 2 Syrians in Beirut, May 7 2012


BEIRIUT: Two Syrian men traveling by land from Homs, Syria, were kidnapped Monday, their relatives said.
According to security sources, who spoke to The Daily Star on condition of anonymity, Abdel-Baset Dalla and Abdo Dalla said their nephew Atef Dalla, 25, and his brother Abdel-Latif Dalla, 40, were kidnapped while they were driving on the road leading to and from Rafik Hariri International Law.
They said they received a call from an anonymous person demanding $5,000.
