The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

August 14, 2009 - L'Orient le Jour - Jerusalem police alert after rumors of kidnapping of an Israeli soldier

Alerte policière à Jérusalem après des rumeurs d’enlèvement d’un soldat israélien

La police israélienne a établi hier des barrages routiers entre Jérusalem et Tel-Aviv dans le cadre d'une « opération de sécurité », a annoncé la radio militaire sans préciser les raisons de ce déploiement. Interrogé par l'AFP, un porte-parole de l'armée a indiqué que « l'éventualité de l'enlèvement d'un soldat était en cours de vérification », tout en refusant de confirmer ou de démentir le kidnapping d'un militaire israélien.
