The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

August 2, 2010 - ILoubnan - Sayyed: Johnny Abdo submitted to Paris Criminal Court

BEIRUT – In a statement issued on Monday, former general Jamil Sayyed said General Prosecutor in Paris has examined the lawsuit filed by Sayyed against former Lebanese Intelligence leader Johnny Abdo, on charges of libels seconded by false witnesses. According to Sayyed, the Prosecutor accepted to submit Abdo to the Criminal Court in Paris to try him according to the charges targeting him. Reportedly, the Court would soon set a date to start the procedure.
