August 11, 2010 - Now Lebanon - STL experts investigate into case of telecommunications spies

Al-Liwaa newspaper reported on Wednesday that three telecommunications experts from Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) Prosecutor Daniel Bellemare’s office launched an investigation last week into the case of individuals arrested on suspicion of collaborating with Israel.

Security forces detained several people working in Lebanon’s telecommunications sector in recent weeks.

Al-Liwaa also reported that their mission is to find out if any phone calls relevant to the 2005 assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri were manipulated and whether data had been forged.
