August 9, 2010 - Now Lebanon - Jumblatt says Feltman informed him of STL indictment

Emirati newspaper Al-Khaleej quoted on Monday an unnamed source as saying that Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblatt stated that former US Ambassador to Lebanon Jeffrey Feltman informed him of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon’s (STL) indictment months ago.

Media reports have said that the STL – formed to probe the 2005 assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri – is expected to issue its indictment by September.

Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said earlier last week that he will reveal during a press conference on August 9 irrefutable evidence proving that Israel was behind the Hariri assassination.

According to the daily, Jumblatt expressed his surprise of Feltman’s knowledge of the indictment.
