August 10, 2010 - Now Lebanon - Explosion that killed Rafik Hariri to be re-enacted before STL’s indictment

Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Anbaa reported on Tuesday that investigators will re-enact the explosion that killed former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri in 2005 before the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) issues its indictment.

According to July media reports, the test will take place at a military base south of the French city of Bordeaux. If the test explosion is proven to be similar to the one that killed Rafik Hariri, the STL will issue its indictment more quickly, the paper reported.

However, Al-Anbaa added that the test—along with the indictment—will not be made before September.
