The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

The Daily Star- General Security launches code of conduct blog, December 17 , 2016

BEIRUT: Representing the directorate-general of General Security, Maj. Gen. Abbas Ibrahim launched the “General Security Codes of Conduct Blog” Friday. The platform aims to monitor “systems of values and regulations” for soldiers, with the aim of improving General Security’s legitimacy. According to the state-run National News Agency, the initiative was coordinated with the help of the United Nations. Sigrid Kaag, U.N. special coordinator for Lebanon, also spoke at the event. “The blog is not an objective so much as it is a tool that helps reach the objective,” Kaag said. According to an NNA report, the initiative was the U.N.’s first partnership with General Security in reforming the security sector.
