The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

The Daily Star - Israel collaborators get prison sentences - September 08, 2011


BEIRUT: Military Tribunal Judge Nizar Khalil handed down sentences ranging from five years of hard labor to life in prison to seven Lebanese for collaborating with Israel, a judicial source told The Daily Star.
According to the source, Khalil sentenced Ali Mahmoud Mallah to10 years of hard labor in prison and five years of hard labor for Youssef Maroun Abdoush, Jaafar Hussein Hallawi and Emile Hanna Abu Safi.
“Khalil also sentenced Kaid Mohammad Berro in absentia to life in prison,” said the source. Last week, Khalil sentenced a senior FPM official, Fayez Karam, to two years in prison with hard labor for collaborating with Israel and its intelligence agency, Mossad.
