The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

The Daily Star - Inmate hospitalized after drinking bleach - June 11, 2011

BEIRUT: A prison inmate was transferred to a hospital Friday after drinking bleach, the National News Agency reported.
An inmate at the Tyre Prison, from the village of Khiam, was transferred to Nabatieh Governmental Hospital after drinking Odex, a bleach product.
The inmate, Hussein Z., 30, is in a critical condition and was given immediate first aid treatment.
