Now Lebanon - Ban urges all countries to cooperate with STL - June 30, 2011

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon urged all countries to cooperate with the Special Tribunal for Lebanon which is probing the 2005 assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, Reuters website reported on Thursday.
UN acting deputy spokesperson Farhan Haq said that Ban calls on all countries to support the independent judicial process through cooperating with the STL in implementing decisions of detaining certain people.
Haq added that Ban expects the new Lebanese cabinet to commit to international commitments and cooperate with the tribunal.
The STL said in a statement published on its website that the indictment and accompanying arrest warrants were transmitted to the Lebanese authorities on Thursday.
A judicial official told AFP that four Lebanese suspects are named in the indictment.
Local media said at least two of them were members of the Iranian and Syrian-backed Hezbollah, which has warned it would defend itself if accused.
