Now Lebanon - Hezbollah expresses concern over Roumieh torture reports - June 28, 2011

Hezbollah issued a statement on Tuesday voicing it concern over the reports of alleged torture against inmates at Lebanon’s Roumieh Prison.
The party condemns “any unethical or inhumane practice at Roumieh Prison,” the statement said.
Hezbollah called on relevant authorities to launch an investigation into the alleged torture cases “in order to take legal measures against such practice.”
It also called on parliament to form a commission that would probe the issue.
Local newspapers reported earlier in the day that some Roumieh inmates are subjects of torture.
