The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

The Daily Star - Sakr issues arrest warrant for security personnel - June 08, 2011

BEIRUT: Military Prosecutor Judge Sakr Sakr Wednesday issued arrest warrants for three security personnel who accompanied a fugitive before he escaped from Justice Palace in Adliyeh.
Mohammad Nayef Abdallah escaped Tuesday while security personnel were transferring him from the detention center to the criminal court inside the building, where he was expected to be charged for theft and robbery.
An investigation is still under way to discover how Abdallah escaped.
A group of five men escaped the Baabda detention center over the weekend after creating a gap in the iron grill on the window of their cell. One of the fugitives was captured Tuesday.
