Strike held in Aley to support Syria dissident
ALEY: Residents and businesses in Aley observed an hour-long strike Tuesday in a show of solidarity with Shibli al-Ayssami, a leading member of the Syrian opposition who went missing in the village last week.
Speaking at a solidarity gathering in Aley, caretaker Minister of the Displaced Akram Chehayeb urged the Internal Security Forces to help find Assaymi, who was reportedly kidnapped a few days after arriving in Lebanon.
Currently a resident of the United States, Ayssami arrived in Beirut on May 19, but went missing on May 26 after going out for a walk.
