The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Le ministre de l’Intérieur, Marwan Charbel, a affirmé hier que l’ancien ministre Michel Samaha, arrêté la veille, avait « avoué être lié à une affaire sécuritaire ».
« L’ancien député et ministre a avoué être lié à une affaire sécuritaire, mais l’enquête reste secrète », a déclaré M. Charbel à la Voix du Liban. « Le dernier mot revient à la justice, les résultats de l’enquête seront présentés au juge d’instruction qui décidera de libérer M. Samaha ou d’émettre un mandat d’arrêt à son encontre », a-t-il dit.
