The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

The Daily Star - Underage boys caught stealing from car northeast of Beirut, August 18 2012


BEIRUT: Two underage boys were caught red-handed Sunday night stealing personal belongings from a parked car in Zouk Mosbeh, northeast of Beirut.
The boys were identified by their initials as J.Sh., 15, and A.M., 16.
Security sources told The Daily Star members of a police patrol saw the boys rummaging through a car and grew suspicious.
A good number of car keys were found on the boys, the source said.
The boys were taken to a local police station, where they confessed in the presence of their parents.
