The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

NowLebanon - Activist tells NOW that confiscated passport returned, August 8 2012


Lebanese activist Wissam Tarif told NOW Lebanon that his passport, which had been confiscated by General Security, was returned to him on Tuesday around 4 p.m.
Tarif also said that he obtained his passport after going with his lawyer to General Security, adding that the latter was “positive.”
On  Monday, activists said that General Security confiscated Tarif’s passport at Beirut’s Rafiq Hariri International Airport before his flight to Turkey.
