The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

L'orient le jour - Drame de la domesticité, August 9 2012

Alani Silvoi, une employée de maison de nationalité éthiopienne, a trouvé la mort hier lors d’une tentative d’évasion de l’appartement de son employeur, L.S.R. La jeune fille, âgée de 24 ans, a sauté du douzième étage de l’immeuble situé à la rue Maguy el-Hajj, à Sed el-Bauchrieh. La malheureuse a atterri au premier étage et a été tuée sur le coup. Une enquête est en cours.
