State Minister Mona Ofeish told An-Nahar newspaper in an interview published on Thursday that Internal Security Forces members are not competent when it comes to dealing with drug addicts who are imprisoned.
“This problem can be resolved by implementing a decree on the matter…[that] such inmates may be transferred to specialized centers to treat them after the addicts decide whether they want to remain incarcerated or undergo treatment.”
