Military Investigative Judge Fadi Sawwan questioned seven persons, including one Syrian, who had been arrested on suspicion of involvement in the March kidnapping of seven Estonians in the Bekaa Valley, the National News Agency (NNA) reported Thursday.
Sawwan issued warrants for their continued detention and also issued arrest warrants in absentia for five fugitives suspected of involvement in the case, the NNA said.
The seven Estonians were kidnapped near the Bekaa city of Zahle on March 23 after they had entered Lebanon from Syria on their bikes. More than seven people have been arrested to date for involvement in the case.
