Naharnet - Williams Meets Moussawi: '7 Estonians Came With No Ill Intent' - April 13, 2011

U.N. Special Coordinator for Lebanon Michael Williams hoped that the seven kidnapped Estonians bicyclists would soon return safely to their families for they came to Lebanon "with no ill intent and their early return to their own country I think is of the utmost importance."
Williams discussed the situation in Lebanon and also the dramatic developments in the broader Arab region with Hizbullah International Relations Official Ammar Moussawi on Tuesday.

Regarding the situation of the Lebanese community in the Ivory Coast, he assured Moussawi that "the United Nations will do all that it can to ensure the safety of the many thousands of Lebanese in that region, especially in the capital Abidjan."

Williams hoped that the Lebanese government, representing all its citizens, will be formed soon.

He also reminded Moussawi of the full support the Security Council gives to U.N. resolution 1701 and its full implementation.

In separate talks with Caretaker Prime Minister Saad Hariri at the Center House, Williams renewed his appeal for "the immediate release of the Estonian citizens."
Hariri and Williams also discussed the Lebanese security situation.
