The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Now Lebanon - Body found on Jounieh beach, investigation launched - April 12, 2011

NOW Lebanon’s correspondent quoted an unnamed security source as saying that the body of a man identified as T.B. was found on the beach in Maameltein in Jounieh on Tuesday morning.
“The [deceased] was severely beaten… and stabbed in his abdomen causing an internal bleeding which led to his death,” the source who spoke on condition of anonymity said.
A man who works with the deceased was detained to be interrogated, the correspondent also said, adding that an investigation has been launched into the crime.
