The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Now Lebanon - Bellemare appoints Henrietta Aswad as new spokesperson - September 8, 2010

Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) Prosecutor General Daniel Bellemare appointed Henrietta Aswad as his new official spokesperson, the National News Agency (NNA) reported on Wednesday.

Aswad is knowledgeable of the Middle East and North Africa, as well as the fields of administration and development, the NNA said.

Bellemare said that he is pleased to welcome Aswad as part of his team, the NNA added.
