Now Lebanon - Russia wants “honorable” STL indictment, ambassador says - September 27, 2010

Russia supports the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) and wants any indictment it issues to be “honorable,” Russian Ambassador to Lebanon Sergei Poukine said in an interview published in As-Safir newspaper on Monday. In July, Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said that the STL is an Israeli project and will indict Hezbollah members. March 8 politicians have since demanded the abolition of the tribunal, and the Lebanese judiciary has relayed to the STL information which Hezbollah has presented and says implicates Israel in the Hariri murder.
