Now Lebanon - Sayyed wants Hariri to clarify matters on fundamentalist group - September 24, 2010

The National News Agency (NNA) reported on Friday that Former General Security chief Jamil as-Sayyed called on Prime Minister Saad Hariri to provide clarifications related to a fundamentalist group dubbed “Group – 13,” which is allegedly headed by a detainee, Hassan Nabaa, and which according to Sayyed, has hid Ahmad Abu Adass.

Adass appeared in a video claiming responsibility for the 2005 bombing that killed former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.

Sayyed said that “[PM Saad] Hariri’s entourage distorted the Lebanese judiciary’s investigation with Group – 13 to push the March 14 alliance’s agenda [following the Rafik Hariri murder].”

Sayyed, who had returned from France last week, was summoned by Attorney General Judge Said Mirza for questioning after the former’s September 12 statement, in which he attacked Premier Hariri.
