The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Now Lebanon - Cabinet approves judicial appointments, September 1, 2010

NOW Lebanon’s correspondent reported on Wednesday that the cabinet, during its session at the Baabda Presidential Palace, appointed Judge Ali Ibrahim as General Financial Deputy, Judge Abdel Latif Husseini as Government Commissioner to the state’s Shura Council and Judge Marie-Denise Maaouchi as Head of the Legislative and Consultative Committee at the Justice Ministry.
