The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Now Lebanon - Environment Ministry budget approved by commission members - September 23, 2010

Head of the Parliamentary Finance and Budget Commission Ibrahim Kanaan said following Thursday’s session that commission members approved the budget of the Environment Ministry in the presence of its minister Mohammad Rahhal, the National News Agency (NNA) reported.

“The rest of the budgets will be discussed next week. [The next session will be held] on Monday to look into the parliament’s budget as well as that of the Education Ministry,” Kanaan added.
