Now lebanon - Harb: No Lebanese would permit STL to persecute fellow countrymen - September 23, 2010

The National News Agency (NNA) quoted Labor Minister Boutros Harb as saying that “there is no Lebanese who would accept having the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) turned into a tool used to persecute another Lebanese.”

He added that should the tribunal’s indictment, which is expected to be issued before the end of the year, be based on falsehoods, “then I will be the first to call for [revoking] the court’s verdict.”

Harb also commented on Hezbollah Deputy Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem’s statement that the party awaits for Saudi Arabia’s efforts concerning the STL, saying that there will be no compromises made on the court.
