The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Now Lebanon - Kanaan: Finance and Budget Commission did not approve STL funding clause - September 16, 2010

Al-Manar television quoted head of the Parliamentary Finance and Budget Commission Ibrahim Kanaan as saying that the commission did not approve the 2010 state budget clause pertaining to Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) funding. However, he did not clarify whether the commission will again discuss the issue.

The March 14 MPs left when March 8 MPs insisted that the commission vote on the 2010 state budget’s STL clause, NOW Lebanon’s correspondent said.

Seven March 8 MPs were present, while six March 14 MPs attended and three others were absent, the correspondent added.
